Welcome to our website.  Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Language College is an 11 – 16 high performing specialist school with an additional specialism in Science with Mathematics.  In addition we are a Training School and a Leading Edge School.  At our last Ofsted inspection in May 2007 the college was rated as ‘outstanding’.  As we celebrate 50 years delivering high quality Christian Education this year has seen the best ever results with 85% of year 11 students attaining 5 A*-C grades and 80% gaining 5 A*-C grades including English and Mathematics. This latter figure is the governments preferred headline figure placing us firmly in the top 10% of schools nationally.

We are proud of our Church of England status and strive continually to provide the highest standards in Christian education. The whole college community works hard together and prays together to achieve the best we possibly can.
